Financial institution of China, one of many largest state-owned banks in China, is presently testing a brand new offline cost system that connects to SIM playing cards. This cost methodology is designed particularly for Digital Yuan, the Central Financial institution of China’s digital foreign money (CBDC).
July 10 revealed the financial institution’s partnership with telecom operators China Telecom (NYSE: ) and China Unicom (NYSE: ) and plans to start testing the subsequent day.
